Stone on the world's largest emerald goes on auction



The largest stone emerald in the world will come to auction and is expected to fetch 1.1 million dollars. 57,500 carat stone, which has the size of a water melon will come out tomorrow in the sale at auction of Western Star Auctions in British Columbia.


Pearl called Theodora, was found in Brazil and was cut in India before being sold Reagan Reaney.


But for the precious stone is suspected that in fact there is an emerald. "It could be emerald but I'm not sure how much of it is part of Emerald," says Jeff Nechka specialist.


He says that if it was a rough stone then its value would be 10 to 20 times greater.


If the stone will not be sold then it will be sent to the American Institute Gemologjisë.
