As far as BMW vehicles go, the arguably most revered class of the company by both auto enthusiasts and the manufacturers themselves has always been the M series of performance vehicles. Despite our hope that BMW will bring back the legendary M1 supercar (though the i8 Concept is beautiful), we’re more than game to accept a new member of the family whenever the BMW motorsport design gods feel like fueling the passionate fan fire this sub-brand ignites.

Back at the Geneva Auto Show in March (alongside the new Lambo and Ferrari), the company revamped the eye-catching M variant of its six-series line of executive coupes and convertibles. The series, which got its own overhaul for the 2012 auto year, is decidedly a legacy vehicle that exudes luxury and the perfect hint of sports appeal, which has made it so popular.

The M6, which is being released in both coupe and convertible models, brings together the historic legacy of the brand with concept-style esthetics, premium technology and absolutely perfect tuning specifications.
After unexpectedly ditching its predecessors’ V10 engine, the M6 now sports a powerful 4.4-liter eight cylinder that of course utilizes the M TwinPower Turbo technology, featuring high-precision direct fuel injection, fully variable valve control and cross-bank exhaust manifold. The jaw-dropping maximum output of 560 hp between 6-7000 rpm gives this powerhouse 502 lb.-ft. of torque, which is 30 percent higher than the last M6. Overall, this gives the M6 the distinction of being 10 percent faster than the 2010 second-gen model, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (or 189 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package).
The M6 delivers a resoundingly decent 28.5 miles per gallon combined and emits 371 g/mile. The seven-speed M double clutch transmission features Drivelogic, which gives the driver further control over the car’s power and limits power interruptions through the acceleration. Combined with the increasingly common performance paddle shifters, the vehicle is more than equipped in the leather-wrapped cabin to keep you entertained and exhilarated on the road.
The redesigned exterior features a bold and aggressive body design that intertwines dynamic lines and a striking façade, alongside the contoured carbon fiber roof for lower weight and center of gravity, improving your driving experience. Beginning with the traditional M grille and imposing lower air intake, the body lines pan out along the doors, giving the car the appearance of a shell rippling with waves.

Phone Options

Because Android is a platform rather than a particular phone, it offers more phone models than any other smartphone brand. Most third-party phone manufacturers have their own Android line, from Verizon-supported Motorola Droid X to the LG Optimus. Android phones may be touchscreen-only, or they may have a keyboard attached. Google's official phone is the Nexus One, with a 3.7" display and a thickness of 11.5 mm.

The Android Operating System

Android's operating system (OS) is based on Linux, an open-source OS, but has been extensively changed and developed by Google. It supports SMS and MMS text-messaging, as well as many wireless connectivity standards including Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and Bluetooth. The most common versions of Android are 2.1 and 2.2. Like the operating system on a computer, it provides a framework on which users can install individual programs, or "apps."

Android Applications

Applications for Android are sold through "Market", Google's software store that comes pre-installed on most Android phones. Over 250,000 apps are already available for the Android, with more on the way. Useful apps range from customized skins and themes to media players to interfaces for Twitter and Google Voice. As for games, many popular hits such as "Fruit Ninja" and "Bejeweled 2" are available through the Market.

If you've recently seen a mysterious badass bimmer stealing the ending scenes of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, then let us introduce you to, (or re-introduce, if you're a car fanatic) the BMW i8 Concept.

This smokin' hot, futuristic ride is one of the first models of the new BMW i sub-brand which starts launching emission-friendly vehicles in 2013.  This hybrid-electric utilizes an impressive dual-fuel system that allows it to operate at around an amazing 80mpg. Combined with the capability to go 0-60 in a reported 4.8 seconds, this car is made for those who want the speed without sacrificing fuel.

Details are scarce at the moment, but look for more to surface at the North American International Auto Show that starts this week in Detroit. For now however, check this out:

When Dario Franchitti and Ashley Judd pulled up to a post-Indy 500 party in 2010 in a blue-and-white Mini Cooper—mere moments after Dario had taken the checkered flag at the Brickyard—all doubts about Mini’s macho cred dispelled. And recent styling moves have made this iconic British sports car even more appealing to the eye, especially when you add in the track-tuned John Cooper Works premium package. When Mini debuted their first two-seater last fall, they also bowed a posh big sibling in the John Cooper Works coupe that is plain nasty looking—black alloy wheels, dual center-mounted exhaust, a significantly increased raked roofline in contrasting colors; even an active spoiler to improve aerodynamics at speed.
The John Cooper Works coupe packs a 208 horsepower turbo under the signature two-tone hood, and the nimble suspension will have you re-creating the heist scene from The Italian Job on every curvy road you encounter. Yet for all that performance, the coupe has practicality. The hatch pops open to reveal a surprisingly cavernous trunk, suitable for throwing in your better half’s bags for a romantic weekend escape. Just be careful: She might get jealous when your car turns more guys’ heads than she does.
Style factor: Leather-wrapped steering wheel, well-appointed interior, booming Harman-Kardon sound system and of course the big center-console-mounted speedo, and major curb appeal
Fiscal factor: The sticker above 38K might strike some as a steep price to pay for this slick coupe
Fun factor: With good power-to-weight ratio and taut suspension, this car just begs to be thrown into corners
Long before there were ridiculous notions of Lamborghinis that almost touched the ground or Bentley throwing a V12 into a cube, there were Porsche Cayennes. A cut above Mercedes’ late-1990s M-class, the Cayenne and its model line of S, GTS and Turbo have long been the hallmark of those who desire the best in class, comfort and taste on the road.

The second-generation Cayenne GTS unveiled in April at Auto China strongly epitomizes these traits, with a redesigned shell with plenty of technical and cosmetic improvements that will leave fans of Porsche’s sportier GTS marque raving. Decked out with an active all-wheel drive system utilizing an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the new Cayenne boasts a fiery V8 that delivers 420 horses, about 20 more than the second-gen S model. This power translates to an astounding top speed (for an SUV) of 152 mph, with the ability to sprint 0-60 in just 5.4 seconds from a standing start.

Enrobed in specialty shades such as Peridot Metallic and Carmine Red (both pictured), the former adding an extra-dapper persona to the beast, the signature glossy black trim and newly widened wheel wells add further character to the GTS, along with the eye-catching side skirts that extend to the ground alongside the standard 20-inch RS Spyder wheels (which lift the premium brakes from the Turbo model). The GTS also contains a sound symposer, which brings the authentic sounds of the souped-up engine into the cabin, further contributing to the sports appeal of the vehicle. The Cayenne’s distinct fascia is bold and aggressive but as slick and sporty as one would come to expect from the company’s storied history on the track.
